MOZART project at the 10th STS Italia Conference
A major interdisciplinary event in science and technology studies at the Politecnico di Milano (Bovisa Campus).
Ginevra Sanvitale (Trinity College Dublin) will represent the MOZART project and, together with Lara Marziali (Politecnico di Milano), will co-convene Panel 34, titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Neutral. Exploring the Materiality-Temporality Nexus of Large Technological Infrastructures” (Room B2.2.12).
The panel explores the material and temporal development of infrastructures in food systems and poultry industry. It focuses on their life cycles – from planning and operation to transformation and disuse – and on how ideas of what makes an infrastructure “good” change over time through human and non-human interactions, maintenance practices, and shifting social and environmental priorities.
