Standards and innovation in robotics: Watch UNI’s new video interviews
Three short video interviews explore the relationship between standardisation, EU legislation, and innovation through the lens of MOZART.
As part of MOZART, UNI – Ente Italiano di Normazione, Italy’s national standardisation body, has released a series of three video interviews addressing some of the most relevant topics at the intersection of technical standards and technological innovation.
The videos feature Giovanni Micciché (Technical Project Manager), Elena Mocchio (Innovation and Standardisation Manager), and Ruggero Lensi (General Manager), each offering a distinct perspective drawn from UNI’s expertise in connecting research, industry, and regulation.
The series covers:
- How EU legislation and technical standards work hand in hand to support innovation and market access;
- Why integrating standardisation from the early stages of an R&I project accelerates adoption and ensures interoperability;
- The role of national standardisation bodies in bridging innovation consortia with European and international committees such as CEN and ISO;
The interviews reflect a core commitment of MOZART: ensuring that advanced robotic solutions are not only technically sound, but aligned with the regulatory frameworks that will govern their deployment across Europe.
