MOZART LOOKS FOR A 2-YEAR POSTDOC AT IIT
The candidate will explore Tactile Sensor Arrays and System Integration in the Soft Biorobotics Perception Research team, led by Dr. Lucia Beccai.
The position is based on MOZART – Morphing Computerized mats with Embodied Sensing and Artificial Intelligence, a research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme – (Grant Agreement No. 101069536, https://mozart-robotics.eu/).
MOZART project aims to develop general-purpose, AI-powered robot technology for the handling of soft objects with specific demonstrators in the food processing industry.
The qualified candidate will focus their research on designing, fabricating and testing innovative fully integrated sensing solutions for food manipulation. Within the team, their primary responsibilities will be:
- Design and development of tactile sensors and sensor arrays
- Characterization of tactile sensors
- Design of custom electronics and PCB miniaturization
- System integration and acquisition
